The Saih Al Salam Scenic Route, also known as Route 1, is a 100 kilometer stretch of road open to cars and bicycles. It attempts to expand the amount of events, activities, and services that support tourism in the desert and incorporates amenities to offer a comprehensive tourism experience. Residents can invest in the project, which also helps regional tourism-related initiatives.
The project offers horseback riding, camel riding, and desert hikes in addition to excursions to the historic sites of Saruq Al-Hadid and Al Marmoom Heritage Village. Skydiving, camps and lodges, lakes, vertical balloons, kayak boats, outdoor cinema, art gallery and much more.
What does it mean for real estate investors? First of all, areas which are now mostly desert, will see a rapid development, which will result in high capital appreciation. Currently Damac Hills 2 is the biggest residential community developed right next to the future Route 1. The Valley by Emaar is under construction and the size of the community will surpass Damac Hills 2.
